Yes it is similar with keyless entry Paul. Just remove the emergency key from the fob, turn once to the rear in the driver's door to lock and again within 5 seconds to deadlock. Doing this will not activate the alarm. Paired keys so that central locking all works but when I leave the car for more than 5 mins the central unlocking then won't work have to use key. Also every time this happens I have to reset the dash multifunction screen time and date, then after the central unlocking doesn't work the dashboard has to be set again. .
